Well none of us can have missed how wet and windy it has been.

In these conditions we check on the boats every week and BLYM members are very good at letting us know if there are problems with our boats and equipment.

Weekend of 3rd January we had some problems with 2 katakanu hulls making an escape from their storage positions. On Sunday 5th Lance and David spent a happy hour draining the hulls and they are now all tied down outside the gazebo.

If you walk around Bury Lake during the closed season and see anything around the CVSS area that causes concern, please contact David Harris

You will receive Membership forms for next year in February 2014.  However, if you know that you will not want to sail in 2014 please let us know. We have great pressure on group sailing slots next year and we fit in existing groups first. If you do not need your slot we can reallocate it.

If you want to change your sailing slot for 2014, let us know as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate you.

In 2014 CVSS expects to sail Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.  We intend to place groups that sail only in the summer term into the Tuesday sailing slots. If you wish to retain you sailing slot for 2014 please contact Frances

Peter HammondOn Saturday 11th May 2013 we held a boat naming ceremony in honour of Sue Weller and Peter Hammond.

The event was at the end of sailing when a number of people were present. A double glittery pink Access Boat was named "Sweet Sue" in honour of Sue Weller who had been a CVSS volunteer for many years and in particular Shore Officer on Saturdays.

A blue single Access Boat was named "Peter Hammond" in honour of Peter Hammond who was the founder of CVSS.
